Volunteers

Because we are a voluntary organisation, we are always on the lookout for
more volunteers.

In fact we rely on volunteers and always need new drivers, new telephone organisers (Duty Officers) and new committee members. Our volunteers will need to be drivers with their own cars and it is helpful if you live in the Guildford areas that we cover, rather than outlying villages.

The Odd Hour?

Could you spare an odd hour, weekly or monthly, with no regular commitment? We can accommodate your availability no matter how great or small that might be

You will have to provide two referees, be interviewed and as with all charities, will undergo a DBS check with police records

Once cleared you will receive a phone call asking you to do a job in perhaps a week's time. If you cannot help, the Duty Officer will then try someone else. There is no commitment. If you are able to help with driving jobs you will be encouraged to claim the mileage allowance that we pay

Social Functions

As well as the Annual General Meeting, we aim to have two or three social functions a year which allows the volunteers to meet up and share experiences

Our volunteers get to meet new interesting people, be it clients or other volunteers. They are able to develop their sense of community whilst offering help to those who need it most
