2008 AT A GLANCE
In 2008 we:

•Carried out over 6,000 jobs – principally transport and shopping – for more than 440 clients and took on 112 new clients
•We were joined by 18 new volunteers, but lost 19, leaving us with 153 volunteers of whom 27 are Duty Officers
•Had income of £17,274 and expenditure of £21,039 including donations of £3,200 to other charities
•Recruited a new Secretary
•Computerised our volunteer records and began training Duty Officers to use the new computer system for booking jobs
•Completed carrying out CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks on our volunteers in order to increase protection for our clients and volunteers

•Held social events to help volunteers to get to know each other and find out more about Care for Guildford
